Spring Registration Opens Nov. 10 |
Registration for classes beginning Jan. 5, opens on Monday via the Cav Center! Be sure to register BEFORE you leave for Christmas break to avoid any issues the first week of class. If you are not sure of the day and time that you are eligible to register, please view your Registration Time Ticket on your Student Profile Page.

Football Salutes Veterans This Saturday |
Head over to Larry Staudt Field this Saturday for Cavs Football vs. Hillsdale and take part in our Football Salute-to-Service honoring veterans in recognition of Veterans Day. Enjoy free coffee for students and veterans beginning at 11 a.m. and stay to cheer on the Cavs when the game kicks off at noon.

FAFSA Help & Pumpkin Spice This Saturday |
Students and families are invited to stop by the David Center on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. to enjoy pumpkin spice and get one-on-one FAFSA assistance from our financial aid staff. Bring a personal device, Social Security number, FSA ID, valid email address, and 2024 tax returns. (If a parent is not present, only the student portion can be completed.) The FAFSA for the upcoming academic year is open now, and early filing helps you maximize aid opportunities — many grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Current students, new students, and parents are all welcome!

As part of Walsh University’s Year of Faith and in celebration of the 65th anniversary of its founding, the campus community is invited to a Presidential Thought Leadership Series Fireside Chat with President Tim Collins and Dr. Kevin Roberts on Nov. 17 at 7:30 p.m. in the Barrette Business & Community Center. Dr. Roberts, an American historian and recognized scholar in Catholic higher education, will join President Collins to explore how faith and reason intersect in Catholic education, shaping students into engaged citizens prepared for lives of purpose and service. Walsh University Celebrates First-Generation College Students |
Walsh University proudly joins the national celebration of first-generation college students, honoring their determination, resilience, and the positive impact they make on our campus community. National First-Generation College Celebration Day recognizes the achievements of first-generation students and graduates. The date marks the anniversary of the signing of the 1965 Higher Education Act, a landmark legislation that expanded access to higher education for low-income and first-generation students. Colleges and universities across the country commemorate the day with special events and weeklong celebrations. Stephanie Monastra Wilder Appointed Director of Campus and Community Events

Walsh University announced the appointment of Stephanie Monastra Wilder as Director of Campus and Community Events, where she will oversee community rentals and event management for Walsh University owned facilities including the Barrette Business and Community Center, Hoover Park and Hoover Hall, and other campus venues. She will also work in coordination with Athletics to manage bookings for the Cecchini Health and Wellness Complex and the athletic facilities and fields. | Read More

Senior Honors Thesis Presentations |
All are invited to support our Honors students as they present their senior thesis projects on Wednesday, Nov. 12, from 4–5 p.m. in the Timken Natural Science Center, Room 108. Olivia Pita will showcase “Adventure Cats Spelunking: A Video Game,” a platforming adventure featuring feline heroes that combines her passion for storytelling, design, and game development. Alexis Perretta will present her research, “The Role of Oxidative Stress in the Pathophysiology of Preeclampsia in RUPP Rats,” which explores how oxidative stress contributes to this serious pregnancy disorder and the potential for new therapeutic interventions. Registration is now open for Walsh University’s rescheduled presentation featuring 9/11 survivor Genelle Guzman-McMillan on Tuesday, Dec. 2, at 6:30 p.m. in the Cecchini Center Auxiliary Gym. Faculty, staff, coaches, and students are encouraged to attend this powerful event as Genelle shares her incredible story of faith, resilience, and hope as the last person pulled alive from the World Trade Center rubble. Get into the holiday spirit and help make Walsh shine bright for Christmas! Join us for our Annual Campus Christmas Decorating Day from 9 a.m. to noon, where students, staff, and faculty can sign up to decorate either the David Campus Center or one of the residence halls. Turkey Trot at Walsh University in Support of Akron Children’s Hospital, Nov. 18 |
Lace up for a great cause! Join Walsh University’s Cavathon for a one-mile Turkey Trot run (or walk) on Tuesday, Nov. 18, from 5–7 p.m. on the Walsh University campus. The entry fee is $10 per person, payable at the door of the David Center Atrium, where the Turkey Trot steps off. All ages are welcome to participate. Please leave pets at home. All proceeds will benefit Akron Children’s Hospital, providing lifesaving care and vital support for children.
