What to know today:

Five Clemson University students and one alumna have been selected for Fulbright U.S. Student Program English Teaching Assistant awards, nationally competitive scholarships that support teaching and cultural exchange abroad.

Three additional students were selected as alternatives who may still receive awards before the grant period starts next academic year.

The Clemson STRIDE program announced five recipients of its 2026 Seed Translational Research Project funding. The funding is designed to accelerate the translation of innovative research into real-world applications by supporting projects that deliver clear proof of concept.

The Clemson University Police Department received the statewide 2025 Luther Reynolds DUI Enforcement Hero Agency of the Year Award at the MADD South Carolina Law Enforcement Recognition Dinner and Training Symposium on Thursday, April 30.

The Emeritus College will host retired National Geographic photo editor Bert Fox for a presentation titled “Celebrating the First Ascent of Mt. Everest by Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay.” The presentation, scheduled for Thursday, May 28, from 10-11:30 a.m., will be available in person and on Zoom.
