Join metrobar and GatherDC for the first night of the festival of lights! GatherDC Engagement Director, Alexandra Tureau, will light the menorah (yes, it's fine to BYO menorah too!), while you eat vegan donuts from Donut Run and listen to live music from the JWX: The Jarreau Williams Experience.

| | Firelight Flow: A Chanukah Yoga Class
Sixth & I
In celebration of the festival of lights, Alison Waldman, Jewish yoga and mindfulness teacher, will lead an integrated meditation and gentle yoga flow. We’ll begin with a candle lighting ceremony, so have a menorah available if you’d like to participate. All levels of experience with yoga and Torah are welcome.

Federation, PJ Library, Bender JCC, Edlavitch DCJCC, Pozez JCC’s Growing Jewish Families, and Honeymoon Israel
Join PJ Library and our Federation partners for a virtual, multi-generational event for PJ kids and their “grandfriends!” We'll celebrate the Festival of Lights with stories, a de-light-ful craft project, and lighting the menorah (candelabrum used for Chanukah).

- Thanksgiving at Food & Friends
Join fellow volunteers to help prepare and deliver 4,030 full Thanksgiving meals to seriously ill Food & Friends clients.
- Capital Area Food Bank
Join Sixth & I on Thursday, December 2nd from 5:30 PM – 8:00 PM to pack, sort, and stock shelves with donated food at the Capital Area Food Bank.
- Capital Kosher Food Pantry
The Capital Kosher Pantry, a project of Yad Yehuda of Greater Washington, provides free kosher groceries to 50 local households every week. Support the Pantry’s Winter Food Drive by donating kosher soups, drinks, and more.
