September 10, 2021Marie's Message
Hi All, This fall, Wisconsin 4-H will be inviting members (ages 13-18) to complete a survey about their 4-H experience. The survey was developed by National 4-H Leaders (https://helping-youth-thrive.extension.org/) and will help Wisconsin 4-H to learn about the quality of our programs.
The information will help to show how 4-H helps young people to learn new things, develop leadership skills, manage goals, set high personal standards, create positive academic attitudes, and other skills that lead to long-term success in life.
The survey will be sent to all Wisconsin 4-H members by e-mail in the first week of October.
For more information on the 4-H Thriving Model and some of the results from the 2019-2020 4-H Thriving Study in Wisconsin, visit 4-H Thriving Model – Wisconsin 4-H.
If you have questions about this survey, please feel free to contact me. As some of you may recall, Dodge County has been part of the pilot the past 2 years prior to this becoming a statewide survey.
Please keep an eye out for messages and more information about this important survey.
Have a great weekend and as alwayes, feel free to contact me with questions.

4-H Clubs & Groups Charter Renewals - online or paper!
4-H clubs and groups must renew their charter annually through completion of the Charter Application Process. Charter Applications are to be completed online by November 1st.
As we enter a new 4-H program year we look forward to new opportunities as we grow and learn together! The 4-H Charter Application is a NEW tool that will simplify the previous charter process. As you fill out the application you will notice a few changes:
- Online format (paper copy available upon request).
- No calendar needed, instead you will be able to select projects, activities, community service, and fundraisers your Club or Group may participate in for the upcoming year.
- No signatures required in the application.
As you work through completing the Annual Charter Application we encourage you to facilitate discussion and involve your membership in the process. This is an opportunity to actively engage members to be themselves, build connections, explore new opportunities, belong together, discover skills, and give back to their community through the Wisconsin 4-H Movement. Learn more about The Wisconsin 4-H Movement – Wisconsin.
To be authorized to use the 4-H Name and Emblem, all 4-H Clubs and Groups must complete the 4-H Charter Application online or can submit a paper application to the County Extension Office by November 1st.
