UMKC Campus Insider*

Staying connected to your fellow Roos and virtual campus life
Hey Roos — we miss you!
While we are away from campus, we want to stay connected and share some ways we're getting through the semester. So this new email series is just for you. We'll be highlighting resources for all of our students as well as sharing some blog and social posts written by your fellow Roos. You'll get this email every other week until the end of the semester, and then monthly once life on campus resumes.
*Also, we'd love for you to name this new email series, so we are turning it into a contest, and we have a nice Roo spirit prize package for the winner. If you've got a good idea for a name, send it to umkcfeedback@umkc.edu before Friday, April 17. We'll reveal the new name in the next email.
Stay well, Roos! We're looking forward to seeing you on campus again.

Looking to donate food? Check out FeedKC

Our Enactus students created the new FeedKC app, which pairs restaurants looking to donate food with nonprofits and food pantries. If someone you know works either in a restaurant that wants to donate food or a pantry that needs food, please tell them about FeedKC. Their work was even mentioned in National Geographic!

On the other hand, we’re a few weeks into staying at home and if you’re running out of food, make sure you check out The Kangaroo Pantry, Harvesters and other regional food banks.

"We need to accept people as they are  shine a light on that  and let them know that if things are difficult, it's not going to be this way forever."
