This year, GFI has partnered with NVC to offer a new Food Innovation track that welcomes ideas transforming how food or beverages are cultivated, processed, produced, stored, distributed, consumed or up-cycled/disposed. If your idea seeks to improve food security, nutritional quality, and sustainability through innovative products, services, technologies, or business models, we want to see it!
The deadline for Round one written applications is Sunday, February 1st.

Join the Summer 2026 Humanitarian Internship Program (HIP)- Applications Now Open |
|
|
|
HIP offers paid, 10-week internships with leading organizations working in global food security, public health, education, housing, advocacy, and emergency response exclusively to GW undergraduate and graduate students. GW students have the opportunity to intern with organizations such as World Central Kitchen and Project HOPE.
HIP provides a dynamic cohort experience with built-in professional development and mentorship. Join information sessions on December 17 and January 2 to learn more. Applications are open through Monday, January 12, 2026.

Congressional Hunger Center Zero Hunger Internship Summer 2026 |
The Zero Hunger Internship 2026 cohort applications open Thursday, December 4, 2025 and close Thursday, January 30, 2026. This is a 10-week, paid opportunity for college students and recent graduates. Interns will receive hands-on training, attend educational seminars, and collaborate with like-minded peers on a joint-research project.

Kitchen of Purpose is a bilingual culinary training program in the DMV that centers student success. This position will support workforce development for students to ensure they have everything they need to succeed. Responsibilities include conducting outreach events, promoting programs, scheduling interviews, assisting applicants, and tracking recruitment.
