Dear Loyola,
Welcome to the last week of classes! With finals, commencement, and summer plans right around the corner, it’s a busy time. While we are seeing a slight uptick in COVID cases as a result of the BA.2 omicron variant, it is not at the same levels that we saw over the winter from the first omicron surge. Please continue to follow our
quarantine and isolation policies if you feel any symptoms or have an exposure to COVID-19 as we approach the end of the semester.Â
Borrowing a term from the Jesuits, it’s important to use discernment to make thoughtful decisions about your health and wellbeing in our current phase of the pandemic. It’s up to you to determine the activities and precautions that are best for your specific situation.Â
The right decisions for you will depend on your risk for severe illness, as well as your tolerance for risk (your comfort level with activities that may involve more risk). We’re here to help you navigate this next phase, Wolf Pack. Keep reading for a COVID summer checklist. Don’t forget to check your Loyno email over the summer for important updates leading up to the fall semester.
