Errata for Benchmarking New Orleans’ Tourism Economy: Hotel and Full-Service Restaurant Jobs

Benchmarking New Orleans’ Tourism Economy: Hotel and Full-Service Restaurant Jobs was published on December 7, 2018.

The following error has been found in the pdf report:
Page 22, Appendix D
In the table “TOP TEN OCCUPATIONS BY EMPLOYMENT IN THE HOTEL INDUSTRY,” in the column “occupation,” the cell for “Maintenance and Repair Workers, General” should read “Waiters and Waitresses.” Similarly, the cell for “Waiters and Waitresses” should read “Maintenance and Repair Workers, General.”
The remainder of the table is correct, and the mistake only affects the two cells identified above. The occupation code, median wages, yearly employment, and race/ethnicity in the same row are correct. The error was not present in the downloadable Excel tables.
The report on the website has been updated. For your convenience the report is available at this link.
