We are excited to announce that the popular sun safety program for preschoolers, kindergarteners and first grade students, Ray and the Sunbeatables™: A Sun Safety Curriculum is now entirely available online for free at the newly launched sunbeatables.org website!
The Sunbeatables Program, which was recently featured in the Wall Street Journal, National Head Start Association blog, and Newsweek, was created and developed by The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and is disseminated by CATCH Global Foundation. In Memory of Philip Nader
Dr. Philip R. Nader, MD, passed away on April 21, 2017. Dr. Nader, a pediatrician, was well known for his work in child and family health, both in Texas and in California. He was one of the principal investigators of the original CATCH trial, focusing primarily on the family-based components.
In 2016, the Philip R. Nader Legacy of Health Lectureship was established at the UTHealth School of Health through the Dell Center. The annual Lectureship inspires academicians, providers, and public health students through promotion of primary prevention and community pediatrics.
Dr. Nader was not only a colleague, but a good friend, and his many contributions to CATCH, HEAL, and the science of child health will be long remembered.
