Tollgate Greenway on Monte Sano Opens
The Tollgate Greenway on Monte Sano formally opened April 27 and Council Member Little participated in the “stick breaking” ceremony. The 1.2-mile paved trail connects the Bankhead Trailhead to Old Bankhead Parkway, creating a safe and scenic route for pedestrians and cyclists and expanding access to one of Huntsville’s most loved natural areas. This project was made possible by the support of more than 200 donors, along with a Land Trust of North Alabama partnership with the City of Huntsville and Monte Sano State Park.

The 'Sort Of' Retirement of Rodney McCallie
Community Development will bid farewell to a hero later this year. Well, almost. Rodney McCallie, who has spearheaded volunteer construction projects to rehabilitate homes for low-income seniors, is retiring after 24 years.
