This November ... 11/11/16 ... UM-Dearborn College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters Alumni Affiliate invites you to indulge your senses to benefit its scholarship program! Join fellow alumni in supporting CASL student scholarships at the 20th annual wine/beer tasting and auction: November Indulge 2016!
This event is an opportunity to have an informal UM-Dearborn reunion! Spread the word about attending to your alumni friends -- all the work is done, everyone just has to purchase a ticket, then can spend the evening reminiscing about UM-Dearborn and enjoy great food and wine/beer while supporting scholarships for CASL students.
CASL faculty, students and alumni are involved in a variety of
classes, research, activities and philanthropy,
and are making an impact locally, regionally and nationally.

Everything we do in CASL supports the success of our students. We provide experiences in the classroom, out in the field and around the world. You support these efforts by funding scholarships, collaborative research, study abroad opportunities and hands-on learning.
With support from Annual Fund gifts, 19 students participated in UM-Dearborn's first study abroad trip to Greece. Students took a 3 credit course in Ancient Philosophy and were able to study about ancient philosophers in the actual places where philosophers such as Socrates and Plato lived, studied, and taught. The trip was so successful that another one for summer 2018 is already being planned. This is an example of how gifts of all sizes to the CASL Annual Fund can make a significant difference in the education of UM-Dearborn students.
Congratulations to the first group inducted into the newly formed UM-Dearborn Zeta Omega Phi Honor Society, a chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society which recognizes the achievements of non-traditional learners. Pictured above are several current students and recent graduates who were recognized by this Honor Society and the CASL SOAR Program.
