Manufacturing Week October 1-7

To celebrate Manufacturing week, we are featuring a small sampling of the great manufacuturers in Owatonna!  Many of whom started their business in their garages hoping that their idea will become a reality.  

Climate by Design International (CDI) Dry Air For SpaceX 

CDI, an Owatonna based manufacuturing facility in for the past 29 years. CDI designs and manufactures desiccant dehumidifiers and critical process air handlers for a wide array of applications including: ice arenas, hospital surgical suites, and even SpaceX.  Click on the photo for a short video on CDI.

For 40 years Cindy Labathe has made a business out of making you look good in your clothes.  The owner and founder of Cindy's Tailoring, Alterations & Dry Cleaning, Cindy has run her business here since 1979 but hadn't faced a challenge like the Covid 19 pandemic until now (Full Story).

Do you have a High School student looking for part-time work?  

With 55 openings at their Owatonna location, AmesburyTruth is looking to bring on HS students (over 18 years old) who can work at a minimum of 4 hours at their paint location.  Shift runs from 3 pm - 11 pm.  With the Hybrid school schedule this fall, this is a great opportunity with flexible hours.   This would be a direct hire through AmesburyTruth (temporary/part-time), Starting pay: $14.95 with a $.75 shift differential, reimbursed for safety shoes, all other required PPE provided, experience not required and a stay bonus up to $1,000.  Contact Anisha Zak at azak@wdimn.org or Annie.Yule@ amesburytruth.com.

Fall in Owatonna

Despite ongoing event cancellations in the face of COVID-19, Visit Owatonna is continuing to marketing and promote outdoor recreation moving into the fall season while encouraging tourist to plan a trip when they feel comfortable.
The Fall in Owatonna e-newsletters “Where to find fall color, flavor and adventure” was sent out to over 3000 emails with above average opens and click through rates.

Feature a special offer, an upcoming event or company information--but it must be 50 words.  The cost to participate is $50 per week.  

Community Bank Owatonna Introduces Community Investment Loans


Community Investment Loans will assist local businesses during the pandemic.  The interest rate is only 1.95% for the first year, then adjusting to the Prime Rate (currently 3.25%) for the rest of the loan term.  As Owatonna’s only locally owned community bank, CBO is pleased to support our local businesses.
