If you’ve already completed the Applying the Quality Matters Rubric (APPQMR) Workshop, there’s no need to repeat it. We will host a Lunch & Learn in the coming months with more details about the updates. If you would like to receive a copy of the updated rubric with the annotations, please email Laurie at lbl@gwu.edu or Alison at alisonmcguire@gwu.edu.

Take the Quality Matters Workshop This Fall |
For those who have not taken the Applying the Quality Matters Rubric workshop or who would like a thorough refresh, there will be two opportunities in September. The one-day in-person version will be held September 14th at GW’s Arlington, VA campus with colleagues from CPS. And we will be offering the two-week asynchronous online version in mid-late September here in SMHS.
APPQMR is the flagship workshop for Quality Matters. Participants learn about the standards in the Quality Matters rubric, the concept of alignment in course design, and about QM's peer review process. Please contact Laurie or Alison if you are interested.

In case you missed it, GW IT announced that starting July 1, 2023, there was a transition from Adobe Creative Cloud to Adobe Express Premium at GW. As a result, applications such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator are no longer freely available to all at GW. However, faculty and staff retain access to Acrobat Pro. If you are a user of Adobe Creative Cloud you can request an individual license from IT if Adobe Express Premium does not meet your needs.
Adobe Express is an easy-to-use solution for creating posters, flyers, social media content, and more. The license also offers Premiere Rush and Photoshop Express as alternatives to handle your video and photo editing needs. Please reach out to Karen Foote (foote@gwu.edu) if you’d like a quick introduction to any Adobe Express Premium product.
