Let students experiment, practice, and experience the results of their decisions in a way that is safe, private, and on their own time— a branched scenario. Branched scenarios can be like video games or choose your own adventure stories where students can experience the results of their decisions and then try again to see how different decisions result in different results.
Here are a few health sciences related examples you can browse to get a feel for how these can work.
We would be excited to partner with faculty to develop branched scenarios for your courses. It can be as easy as starting with paper or electronic post-it notes to plan out the decisions and results and we in the IMPACT team, will do the building.
