Upcoming Award Deadlines by College

Please note: many awards fall into more than one category or college. Read the eligibility requirements or contact ONIF for assistance.

All or Multiple Majors 
Cultural Vistas Fellowship- Deadline: January 5. The Cultural Vistas Fellowship affords underrepresented U.S. university students the unique opportunity to advance their career goals, develop global competencies, and experience life in another culture. Cultural Vistas Fellows will enrich their academic learning through professional internship and immersion experiences focused on entrepreneurship and innovation. Up to 12 fellows will take part in this multinational professional development program that includes eight-week summer internships in Argentina, Germany, and India. This fellowship opportunity is fully-funded by Cultural Vistas. Open to current sophomores and juniors (between the ages of 18-30) with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Strong preference will be given to students historically underrepresented in international exchange. This includes, but is not limited to Pell Grant recipients; veterans; first-generation college students; STEM majors; members of minority communities within the United States; and non-traditional students.
The Trinity Fellows Program at Marquette University- Deadline: January 15. The Trinity Fellows Program is a graduate fellowship program dedicated to developing urban leaders with a commitment to social and economic justice. Fellows participate in a 21-month study/work program while earning a master's degree in one of fourteen fields of study. 
Intercollegiate Studies Institute (ISI) Graduate Fellowship Program- Deadline: February 1. For the 2018–19 academic year, ISI will grant up to 15 awards, ranging from $5,000 to $15,000 each. 

Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts
The Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship- Deadline: January 5. The Herbert Scoville Jr. Peace Fellowship is a highly-competitive national fellowship program that provides recent college and grad school graduates with the opportunity to gain a Washington perspective on key issues of peace and security.
Bill Emerson National Hunger Fellowship- Deadline: January 10. The Emerson National Hunger Fellows Program is a social justice program that trains, inspires, and sustains leaders. Fellows gain field experience fighting hunger and poverty through placements in community based organizations across the country, and policy experience through placements in Washington, D.C. The program bridges community-based efforts and national public policy, and fellows develop as effective leaders in the movement to end hunger and poverty. 

School of Education
Generation Teach Summer Teaching Fellowship- Deadline: January 5. The summer teaching fellowship will introduce students to the complex and intellectually demanding work of teaching. Fellows complete two weeks of full-time training, where they develop lifelong strategies for building relationships with colleagues and students, learn core instructional strategies, and practice key teaching skills. The value of a GT fellowship is $10,000/participant, which includes the cost of the recruitment, selection, onboarding, training, materials, coaching, post-summer support, and scholarship and/or housing support fellows receive. 

Frank R. Seaver College of Science & Engineering
Switzer Fellowship- Deadline: January 8. The Switzer Fellowship Program offers one-year Fellowships to highly talented graduate students in New England and California whose studies and career goals are directed toward environmental improvement and who clearly demonstrate leadership in their field. The Fellowship provides a $15,000 cash award for academic study, leadership training, access to a vibrant network of nearly 600 Switzer Fellowship alums, and opportunities for professional development during the Fellowship year and beyond.
Science and Technology Policy Institute (STPI) Policy Fellowship Program- Deadline: January 12. This two-year fellowship provides recent bachelor’s degree recipients with a unique opportunity to use their critical thinking and analytic skills to work on a diverse set of challenges in science and technology (S&T) policy areas, including energy and the environment, space sciences, innovation and competitiveness, evaluation, life sciences, information technologies, national security, and STEM education. Fellows will be involved in collaborative research for leaders in the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) in the Executive Office of the President and other Federal Government organizations, such as the National Science Foundation and the National Institutes of Health.
Other Notable Opportunities
Alternative Money University (AMU)- Deadline: January 31. An academic workshop for advanced undergraduate and beginning graduate students with a particular interest in monetary economics. During three days of intensive seminars, students will learn from leading scholars in the field about subjects not typically addressed in undergraduate or graduate economics courses — including topics in monetary history, the theory and practice of monetary policy, and the workings of unconventional monetary arrangements. Held in Washington, DC, expenses for attending AMU — including travel and accommodations — will be covered by Cato’s Center for Monetary and Financial Alternatives.
