North New Jersey Service Opening 3/22/2021
Dear Valued Customer,
Effective Monday 03/22/2021, XPO is pleased to be able to offer a new rail service on our 40’ and 45’ CMA containers out of the North New Jersey market.
The NS recently reduced their service in this lane down to only one day a week (SUN Only). Once the container arrived in Chicago, it was a rubber tire to the UP.
With the new service effective Monday, you will have 7 day a week service again, at the same NS Croxton ramp, but the container will Steel Wheel to the BNSF instead of the UP. With the exception of OAK, the BNSF also has 7 day a week service from CHI to the West Coast. The Oakland destination will only have 2 day a week service, however, we are looking for this to possibly improve once the BNSF sees the volume XPO is moving in this lane.
Please see the updated rail service matrix below based on the published NS and BNSF rail schedules. The chassis rules and the termination locations will remain the same. The UP service will no longer be offered effective 03/22/2021. Please let me know if anyone has any questions
