Kaye Husbands Fealing, dean and Ivan Allen Jr. Chair of Georgia Tech’s Ivan Allen College of Liberal Arts, has received the 2023 Carolyn Shaw Bell Award from the American Economic Association. The award is given annually to an individual who has furthered the status of women in the economics profession through example, achievements, increasing our understanding of how women can advance in the economics profession, or mentoring others.

As an administrative manager II, Joe Ashmore reports to the chair of the Sam Nunn School for International Affairs, leading human resources matters and addressing administrative needs for the School's development initiatives and external engagements.
Joe obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science in Supervision and Management from Broward College in Florida and has served in higher education institutions for the past decade.

Candice Kindell is a senior administrative professional in the School of Literature, Media, and Communication. She manages the the Stephen C. Hall Building and supports the executive director and director of the Writing and Communication Program at Georgia Tech.
Candice has served in education for over 15 years and previously worked with Fulton County Schools.

Christophe Ippolito, a professor in the School of Modern Languages, participated in a panel on recent African coups. The event featured an all-University System of Georgia panel.

Jason Lindo, a professor in the School of Economics, served as a panelist for a National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine workshop entitled "Reproductive Health, Equity, and Society — A Workshop to Explore Data Needs in the Wake of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization Decision."

School of Economics Associate Professor Shatakshee Dhongde, who is also associate dean for academic affairs, recently spoke at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. She shared career opportunities in economics and policy with the interns in the organization's Research Analyst Program.
