Knowing your Limits: Alcohol and Substance Use
|
Halloween weekend is just around the corner, and whether you plan on using substances or not, it’s important to
know your limits and how to support someone in need.
Here are some important resources to help you have a fun and safe weekend:
Not interested in drinking? Check out this link for helpful tips on comfortably declining alcohol.
If you or someone you know may benefit from guidance around substance use, contact the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's (SAMHSA) National Helpline by calling 800.662.HELP (4357).

Highlighted Event: Soup and Storytime

|
|
| Soup and Storytime
Every Tuesday from 12pm - 1pm
Ida Noyes, Room 034
What does a story do for you? How do narratives help us be who we want to be? Let’s read some stories together, and find out. Every week we’ll get together to read a short piece from a tradition, go through a facilitated meditation, and share our thoughts. Soup will be provided and you can drop in any time!
In this program, Spiritual Life gets together to read stories from different traditions and learn how they help us live our lives. For any questions for accommodations, please email spirit@uchicago.edu.
