November was quite a month for the community relations office as we were thrilled to spend it connecting with you and your families in the neighborhood. On Saturday, November 16, AU came out in full force to participate in the 14th Annual Janney Elementary 5K!
Clawed Z. Eagle, AU cheerleaders, and members of the Men's and Women's Cross Country teams showed up to take pics, cheer folks on, and serve as pace setters during the timed 5K run. Over 700 adults, kids, dogs and a few babies in strollers participated in this northwest DC tradition that kicked off the winter 5K season in the District.
The fun didn't stop there as AU sponsored the Horace Mann Elementary Great Turkey Chase the following day and then hosted our own 5K at Airlie Farm in Warrenton, VA the following week.

We love any chance to be a part of the events that matter to your community and we are so thankful for our relationships with Janney, Horace Mann, and the folks at Airlie Farm for allowing us to play a role in these great traditions!
Be on the lookout for more events like these. And as always, we encourage you to stay connected with AU!
