We hope you had a fantastic July! It’s hard to believe August is almost here, but that means our Fall Program Guide is on its way! We’re aiming to have it ready by mid to late August, so be sure to stay tuned for all the exciting details.

Important Dates to Note
Monday, August 4 - Closed for the Civic Holiday
August 5-25 - Northgate Lions Centre building closure
August 5- September 1 - NESA Fitness Centre closure

From August 5 to 25, 2025, NESA will operate out of a temporary location while repairs are underway at the Northgate Lions Seniors Recreation Centre.
Temporary Office Location: McClure United Church (13708 74 Street)
Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm.
Important Notes:
- Donations will not be accepted while we are located at McClure as we will not have storage there.
- Grocery cards will not be available at the Church.
- Only debit and credit card payments will be accepted, we will not have cash.
- The Fitness Centre will be closed from August 5 - September 1, 2025.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we get through this temporarily relocation!

We’re planning to offer wood carving programs and are looking for gently used tools and supplies to help us get started. If you have any of the following items to spare, we’d love to give them new life in the hands of future carvers.
We're looking for:
- A working Dremel (rotary-style) tool (flex shaft preferred)
- Tool bits (1/8" or 3/32")
- Sandpaper (80 to 400 grit)
- Files and rasps
- Wood burners
- Hardwood scraps or offcuts larger than 2"x4"x6"

Grocery Gift Cards Did you know that NESA sells grocery gift cards for Sobeys, Safeway, and Save-On Foods? For every grocery card you buy from NESA, our senior's recreation centre earns a small percentage from each card sale. Those funds then go towards our various seniors fundraising initiatives at NESA.
If you are interested in purchasing a grocery gift card, please visit us during our office hours.
