Faculty Feature
Molly Schroeder, PhD grew up in a small town in eastern Iowa. Growing up in an agricultural community and family, her introduction to the principles of genetics came through their application to crops and livestock.

Xiuli Liu, MD, PhD Elected President of the Chinese American Pathology Association
Dr. Liu is a Professor in AMP, Section Head and Fellowship Director in Liver and GI. The Chinese American Pathologists Association (CAPA), formerly Hua Tuo Society of Pathology (HTSP), Inc., is a non-for-profit organization of the Chinese American pathologists in the United States and Canada who are either in practicing or in training. Since its establishment in 2004, with the continuous and collective efforts from its members, CAPA has developed as a national and internationally recognized pathologist organization with over 830 members today. CAPA serves its members and non-CAPA member pathologists with a primary mission of providing educational opportunities, improving professional skills, enhancing communication and promoting collaboration between CAPA and other pathology organizations.

Diversity Advisor Training
September 14, 2022, 10:30am - 12:00 pm via Zoom As faculty, at some point we are called upon to assist with recruitment of staff, trainees and/or faculty. Creating a recruitment, screening, and hiring process that values diversity, equity and inclusion is an intentional effort that requires support. The Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion will provide this diversity advisor training.
