Dear friends and colleagues,

New Orleans won the lottery! On Tuesday night, the New Orleans Pelicans landed the first pick in the NBA Draft Lottery. The team went in with only a 6 percent chance of winning. We’ll definitely all be watching when the Pelicans pick first on June 20!
*Some key stats about the NBA lottery:
  • Out of the 14 teams in the draft, The Pelicans went in with only the 8th highest odds of winning.
  • There was a 66 percent chance the Pelicans would have landed either the 8th or 9th pick.
  • There was a 74 percent chance that the Pelican’s pick would have been eight or lower.
