Annual NIA Summer Training Course in Experimental Aging Research

The 31st Annual Summer Training Course provides intense exposure to current concepts in experimental aging research to approximately 20 research scientists to facilitate development of independent research programs in the basic biology of aging. Travel and accommodations are sponsored by a grant from the National Institute on Aging and meals and networking events are supported by sponsors.

July 18, 2024 from 1-2pm ET

This webinar will feature current and previous K awardees as they share their experiences of applying and being funded. This session will be a useful resource for prospective applicants and their mentors to gain insight into the process, and to ask questions of awardees about their journey to receiving a K award.

Hevolution/AFAR New Investigator Awards in Aging Biology and Geroscience Research
Deadline: July 15, 2024
The Hevolution Foundation and AFAR will provide up to 18 three-year awards of USD375,000 each to junior investigators (MDs and/or PhDs) with at least 3 years of independent research, who conduct research projects in basic biology of aging or geroscience.

Hevolution Foundation Scientific Conferences Fund
Deadlines: July 31, October 31, January 31, April 30
Proposals for the support of scientific meetings, conferences, and workshops relevant to the mission of the Hevolution Foundation will be considered. Up to $10,000 per meeting may be requested.

Hevolution Foundation Postdoctoral Training in Geroscience (HF-PTG) Program
Deadline: October 30, 2024
The Hevolution Foundation will provide funding for PhD and MD/PhD students who want to pursue postdoctoral research training in the biology of aging or geroscience.

UAB NSC Exploratory Funds
Rolling deadline
For new small projects ($1,000-10,000 each) with a focus on the mechanistic hallmarks and/or energetics of aging.
