With the school year coming to a close, it is important to remember that college students will need some downtime to rest and recharge before starting either summer school or fall quarter. Returning to in-person learning after a year and a half of being online presented many challenges and stressors for most students. They may be feeling more tired, anxious, or unsettled than usual but this is to be expected after an unusual school year.
If they are still in the local area, we recommend they check out the Wellbeing website, take advantage of our Recreation Programs, or spend a few days enjoying the beautiful Santa Barbara environment without the pressure of classes and exams. If they are returning home, we encourage you to give them some time and space to rest. Many of our campus mental health and wellness resources are available to continuing students remotely as well.
We look forward to welcoming students back with renewed energy and excitement for the 2022-2023 school year!
