Speech and Debate Makes a Statement

This fall, Valor's Speech and Debate team received recognition as the leading chapter in the Rocky Mountain South District, along with only 109 other schools nationwide.
Yet, the program's impact goes beyond competitions and stats as it prepares students for the future in a unique way.

CCU Dual Credit Deadline

Please be advised that the deadline to register for dual credit eligible classes is November 15.
Refer to the approved courses list to find out which courses are approved for college credit through CCU, and visit CCU's dual credit page for more info and to register.

Discovery Team Selection

Discovery team selection announcements will happen on November 20. In the meantime, it's important to remember that many students remove themselves from consideration for a team by not responding to requests for written on in-person interviews, or by not having enough hours to qualify for the team.
Discovery will host a mandatory meeting for all students who are selected to a team on Monday, December 2 at 6:00 pm.

More Discovery Opportunities

If your student missed the deadline for applying to a Discovery team, both Denver Spring and Summer applications are still open. The Peru Family application is also open. Your family could serve alongside other Valor families this summer. Apply for Peru Family here.

Dress Code Reminder From The Deans

We are five and a half weeks from the end of the semester, we have noticed that the dress code has grown a little lax. It is important to note that dress code guidelines will apply all the way through the end of finals.
Please remind your students that in particular sweats, hats, crop tops, and leggings or yoga pants when worn with tops that do not cover the rear end and encircle the front and back are not acceptable at Valor. In violation of the dress code, students must correct the infraction before going to class.

Canned Food Drive November 11-22

Valor's National Honor Society is holding a canned food drive from November 11-22. Any non-perishable food items can be dropped off in the lobby of the Academic Building. All donations will benefit a local food bank.
