JOIN US NEXT WEEK FOR PHILANTHROPY WEEK!
As you know, each fall our Brebeuf Jesuit community unites to support The Brebeuf Fund in an inspiring one-week effort called Philanthropy Week.
Philanthropy Week begins on Monday, September 27 and ends with Giving Day on Friday, October 1. Last year, your gifts raised more than $200,000! Your amazing contributions afforded our faculty and staff the necessary resources to provide the formative, exceptional educational experience Brebeuf Jesuit strives for. These gifts go a long way in supporting strong college preparatory academics, spiritual growth opportunities, financial aid and scholarship opportunities, and operations of building, grounds, and campus.
Every gift to The Brebeuf Fund ensures we are able to remain true to the mission of Brebeuf Jesuit and the principles of St. Ignatius, educating all of our capable students regardless of financial circumstance. This Giving Day, please join us as we continue our important work in forming Braves who will carry the torch of St. Ignatius. Let us celebrate this special community that has demonstrated the respect and understanding necessary to drive our new year, to care for one another, and to live out what it means to be men and women for others.
Here’s how you can help us celebrate Giving Day:
- Give a Gift! Help us reach our goal of 250 donors on Giving Day by making a gift to The Brebeuf Fund. Gifts received now until through Giving Day on October 1 will be counted in our #BrebeufGives Philanthropy Week totals.
- Share Your Story! Tell the world what it means to you to be a part of the Brebeuf Jesuit community and why you give by using the hashtag, #BrebeufGives.

SENIOR ANDREW PENCA WORKING TO HELP VETERANS
In the Marion County area, 17 veterans die by suicide every day. Eleven of these veterans are not connected to any veterans’ affairs organizations that provide extensive suicide prevention resources. In order to fight this current environment, it is important to reach out to all veterans and supply them with resources to have the help they need. This two question survey will be used to find veterans and pass on suicide prevention information to them. Regardless of their involvement, attitude, and portrayed emotions, they may need someone to speak to. If you know any veterans, please take this survey to help fight our community’s suicide issue.

DONATING ITEMS TO AFGHAN REFUGEES AT CAMP ATTERBURY
Recently Brebeuf Jesuit student Ahmed Khan and the Muslim Student Union began collecting items for the Afghani Refugees being housed at Camp Atterbury. In the coming weeks, Indiana could host up to 5,000 refugees there. In working with the organization that is managing the donations for the resettlement efforts ( Team Rubicon), they have suggested that donating items to the refugee families from this Amazon link would be most helpful.
In addition, if you are interested in volunteering with Team Rubicon to assist at Camp Atterbury, you can find the link to register here.
