Our pals at KUTX are building The Texas 250 — a massive Fourth of July countdown celebrating the songs that best capture the sound, spirit and swagger of the Lone Star State — and they need your top 5 picks.
That's no small feat, when one’s ballot could easily enumerate just, say, classic Houston hip-hop anthems. (Editor’s note: For the record, those would be “Mind Playing Tricks on Me,” “Still Tippin’,” “International Player’s Anthem,” “June 27th” and “25 Lighters.”)
