Fourth annual West Scranton Fall Festival a great success
We had a wonderful time sharing in the fun at Clover Field and Allen Park for the FOURTH ANNUAL West Scranton Fall Festival. Activities across both days included food and entertainment, bounce houses, art activities, children’s activities, a fire pit, s'mores, live music and more!

A big thank you everyone who participated! We appreciate all of our staff, volunteers community partners and attendees for coming together to make the event a success! See you next year! Click here to view photos from the event.

Partners come together for another successful Neighborhood Leaders Forum
Our organization recently joined with our friends at United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania to host our latest Scranton Neighborhood Leaders Forum event. Bringing together resident leaders from throughout Scranton Neighborhoods, the gathering saw presentations from the Scranton Police Department Animal Control, Catherine McAuley Center/Friends of the Poor, and the Gather Archbald skill-sharing collective.

NeighborWorks participates in housing roundtable in Wayne County
In late September, Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia President & CEO Anna Paulson visited Wayne County to meet with community leaders focused on housing, small business and workforce development.

NeighborWorks President & CEO Shane Powers and Director of Aging in Place Mary Endrusick participated in a roundtable highlighting local housing challenges and solutions. Discussions included efforts to help older adults age safely in their homes through the Older Adults Home Modification Grant Program, as well as how regional housing organizations are expanding their work into Wayne County to meet growing housing needs. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in this important conversation.
