Resident Survey Coming this Fall
It has been five years since the last formal resident survey, and staff and volunteers would like to collect updated data about our community demographics, preferred activities, and satisfaction level with our facilities, services, and amenities. The Community Planning Committee has been working hard the last few months on a new survey that will be sent to all residents in September. Keep an eye out for details soon!

Fire Restrictions Lifted
On Thursday, Aug. 3, Jefferson County Sheriff Jeff Shrader lifted the temporary fire restriction order for Jefferson County. The current and predicted weather conditions have reduced the danger of wildfire; however, residents are encouraged to continue to be vigilant and are reminded to use caution when starting and extinguishing campfires, disposing of lighted cigarettes, and conducting other activities that involve the use of fire or sparks.

New Signs at Bradford-Perley HouseThe Ken-Caryl Ranch Historical Society installed two new educational signs near the Bradford-Perley House. One sign is an update of the Ken-Caryl Ranch settlement history timeline and the role of the Bradford and Perley families and their house. The other sign summarizes the archaeological findings covering the 9,000 years of prehistoric human use of the area we now call Ken-Caryl Ranch.

West Metro Training in North Ranch Aug. 8
West Metro Fire will be conducting a ropes training exercise in the North Ranch near Blue Grouse Ridge and Coyote Lane on Tuesday, Aug. 8. You will see multiple fire trucks and personnel in the area, but it is just a training exercise.

Doggie Dip DayDoggie Dip Day will include three 60-minute sessions with up to 30 dogs allowed in each session. The sessions include 30 minutes of “open swim” time followed by 30 minutes of games and contests.
Date: Saturday, Aug. 19
Session 1: 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Session 2: 12:10 - 1:10 p.m.
Session 3: 1:20 - 2:20 p.m.
Location: Ranch House Pool Fee: Resident $5/dog, Non-Resident $8/dog

Pool Closure Dates
The Ken-Caryl Ranch Pools are scheduled to close for the season on the following dates:
Bradford Pool: Sunday, Aug. 13
Ranch House Pool: Wednesday, Aug. 16
Community Center Pool: Monday, Sept. 4
Special Community Center Pool Hours Aug. 8-16: The Community Center Pool will open early at 10 a.m. Aug. 8-16.
Pools Closed Today: Due to the weather, all three pools are closed today.
