UMSL EDS Cohort

Executive Superintendency Educational Specialist Degree Program (Ed.S.)

We are excited to announce a new Executive Superintendency Educational Specialist Degree Program (Ed.S). This 30/31-hour, fully online degree program is an exciting collaborative between three University of Missouri campuses (University of Missouri - Columbia, University of Missouri - Kansas City, and University of Missouri - Saint Louis).

The first cohort of this program is scheduled to begin summer 2021 semester. This cohort would then graduate four semesters later in summer 2022 semester. Space in this cohort is limited, so early application is encouraged. Students will enroll at one of the three campuses but will receive instruction and advisement from professors at each of the three universities. This is a first-of-its-kind collaborative program in the state of Missouri.

If you are interested, we encourage you to respond to one of the individuals above for more information.

UMSL Inclusive Education Advocacy Group

Are you passionate about inclusive education and want to stay connected with your UMSL family?

This group of UMSL pre-service teachers and UMSL COE alumni will meet once each quarter to engage in professional development and networking focused on inclusive education. It will be virtual for now, but we will expand to in-person sessions once the world returns to a bit of normalcy.

Interested in joining the group? Just share your name and email below. We encourage you to share a personal email address so we can always reach you (especially pre-service teachers who are graduating soon). UMSL Special Education faculty will develop an email list and reach out to folks throughout the year with information and resources. And of course you can always reach out to us, too!

UMSL SUCCEED Presents:  "On The Beat"

Come celebrate diversity and inclusion with UMSL Succeed! UMSL Succeed is an inclusive post-secondary education program for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. UMSL Succeed provides students with opportunities to learn, work, live and play! As part of an Intersectionality Series, UMSL Succeed will host various events to celebrate and understand the dynamic ways individuals with disabilities form their identities. Additionally, the series will provide students, educators, and families the opportunity to learn more about post-secondary options for individuals with intellectual disabilities!
Join us on February 26th from 4-6PM for a discussion about the intersectionality of race and disability. Our guests, Leroy Moore and Keith Jones, will share their experiences as Black Disability Advocates and give a live musical performance! Teachers who register for the event will be sent a short pre-event video and guided discussion questions.
