  • The Lyllye Reynolds-Parker Black Cultural Center grand opening is Saturday, Oct. 12, at 11:00 a.m.
  • There will be a UO Plastics Roundup outside PK Park, 11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13. Bring at least four items and receive a free ticket to the UO women's soccer game at noon Sunday.
  • Learn about your transportation options on Transportation Day Tuesday, Oct. 15. Navigate Eugene's bike infrastructure with the UO Bike Program, EMU 008. 
  • Weaving New Beginnings is hosting its 25th annual networking reception for students, staff, and faculty of color on Wednesday, Oct. 16 in the EMU Ballroom, 5:00–7:00 p.m.

  • October is LGBT History Month. Learn about the celebratory and educational events campus has planned at the UO LGBTQA3 Student Group meeting tonight, Oct. 10, 6:00–7:00 p.m. 
  • Register now for the fall term Day of Service, "Creating Community Connections." Make a positive impact on the community Saturday, Oct. 19, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
  • Applications for the LeaderShape Institute are due Oct. 30. This free four-day leadership camp develops essential leadership skills, builds community, and immerses you in self-discovery.
  • LGBT Education and Support Services is sponsoring a trip to this year's annual Creating Change Conference in Dallas, Texas. Applications are due by Oct. 31.
  • October is National Cyber Security Awareness Month and the UO Information Security Office has launched a new Phish Tank website to keep us updated on email phishing messages.
  • There's new GEO Center scholarships for studying in Europe this Spring, apply by Nov. 1.

  • The Museum of Natural and Cultural History is opening Racing to Change: Oregon's Civil Rights Years—The Eugene StoryCelebrate this landmark exhibit with the Oregon Black Pioneers at the grand opening this Saturday, Oct. 12.
  • Draw a Drag Queen at the Museum of Natural and Cultural History on Tuesday, Oct. 15. This free event features live Drag Queen models who will each put on a performance after posing.
