As a go-to authority on election law and democracy, Distinguished Professor Rick Hasen always maintains an active schedule. This spring, that agenda overflowed with several big successes.
Significantly, on May 18, members of the American Law Institute voted to approve the Restatement of the Law Third, Torts: Remedies, for which Hasen served as a co-reporter over seven years. Recently, he also earned a Guggenheim fellowship, was cited in a U.S. Supreme Court opinion on voting rights, and helped oversee a pioneering survey of top lawyers and judges about their perceptions of the rule of law as it stands today.
