Today would have been Father Bill's 88th birthday. Father Bill's gentle spirit is woven into the very fabric of Caron - we wouldn't be who we are today without his guidance and compassion. As we remember him today, we can't help but reflect, with a smile, on some of the wisdom he shared:
These words have remained on the hearts and lips of our patients and staff, passed down through the sacred art of storytelling that keeps Father Bill's spirit alive on Magic Mountain. Father Bill's memory also lives on through the Chapel Fund - a special fund that provides support to those who do not have the financial means to continue pursuing a life in recovery in a safe, supportive environment, such as aftercare, sober housing, or intensive outpatient services.
