We Need YOU!

Help us put smiles on more faces like these! MadCAAP has provided us with the names of four families urgently needing beds to provide a safe and comfortable night's sleep for a total of 12 children!
Our industrious church trolls have already built the beds, but they need to be stained. Please come out tonight at 6:00 pm, wear old clothes, and have a hand in sharing God's love and sweet dreams!
For questions, contact Bill Flynn.

Dinner is Ready!

No need to cook next Wednesday, May 16th. The Sea Base Crew, (the high-adventure group in Parkway Hills' Boy Scout Troop 164), is raising funds for an extraordinary summer adventure by selling spaghetti dinners. Pick up a ticket in the church office tomorrow between 8:30 and 4:30, or buy one this Sunday from a Scout. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and under. Dinners include spaghetti, green beans, a roll and dessert.
Pick up your plates from the PHUMC kitchen between 5 and 7 pm on Wednesday, May 16th. Thanks!

Then Sings My Soul!

Summer is just around the corner and we are already planning some engaging ways to be in worship together but WE NEED YOUR HELP! For 7 weeks, beginning June 10th, we will focus on the music of our faith during our Sunday morning worship. We will listen to the stories behind some of our favorite hymns and reflect on the message these songs of faith still hold for us today. This is how you can help: Throughout the month of May, you can click here to let us know your favorite hymns or praise songs. We will use the songs collected to order our worship June 10th – July 29th. This will be a spirit-filled, musical time for us at Parkway Hills! You don’t want to miss it!    --Dawn
Everyone has had that special teacher who made a difference in their lives. Did you miss the chance to say thank you? Or maybe you did not realize the impact they had until much later? We've created an opportunity for you to show appreciation to a teacher who is playing a significant role in the lives of the children at East Flora Elementary School. On Friday, May 18th we will be delivering a homemade, (or store bought!), dessert for each faculty and staff member at East Flora to take home and share with their families as they celebrate the end of another successful year. For details on how to participate in this "tasteful" act of appreciation, CLICK HERE. Contact Allison Jordan at 601-259-0812 if you have any questions, or let her know you would like to help deliver the desserts to East Flora Elementary on Friday, May 18th.

Last One!

The fourth and final Quarterly Gathering at the Flowers' home will be this Saturday, May 12th. Invitations have been sent to those who have been members of Parkway Hills for 16 years or more. But, remember, these gatherings were designed simply to help the Flowers get to know all of us better! If you are a visitor, a regular attender, or a member who could not make it to any of the last three Gatherings, feel free to attend this one. Dawn will have a taco bar set up in her home (directions here); you bring drinks, a side, or a dessert to share. Enjoy fellowship with your pastor and get to know your fellow members better during this casual "come and go" gathering between
6:00 and 10:00 pm on Saturday, May 12th.
