Register for GBL 5201 Teaching in English for International Teaching Assistants |
(ITAs) is a two credit-hour course focused on the classroom presentation and pronunciation skills necessary for ITAs to be successful in an American university classroom. Priority is given to international graduate teaching assistants, but the course is open to any international graduate student currently enrolled at Baylor, at no cost. For the spring semester, the course will meet Monday and Wednesday from 2:30 to 3:20 p.m. and each student receives a weekly coaching session for individualized instruction. Register in Bear Web. Register for GBL 5103 English for Academic Purposes Graduate Writing |
This one credit-hour course is designed to help international graduate students develop skills in writing academic English. Students are provided opportunities to analyze and express ideas in academic texts while reading and critiquing the work of others. Students complete various assignments to become familiar with aspects of summarizing academic materials, synthesizing the existing research, describing their own research, and following field-specific citation guidelines to produce academic material. Advent is a special time for Christians as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Christ. Join the Baylor Family throughout the month of December in daily Advent readings written by Baylor faculty, staff and students. Each week’s readings will feature a different theme – Hope, Faith, Joy and Peace – and will continue through Christmas Eve.

The Graduate School's residential chaplain, Kyle Perry, is seeking students who would like to be involved forming faith-based programming in their communities around the Graduate School. If you are interested in exploring starting a bible study or prayer group in your community, please fill out this form so Kyle can connect with you.
