Help Us Welcome Our Two Newest Members!
It is with great joy we introduce you to these two beautiful blessings!  First, meet Abigail Louise Pickle, born Saturday morning, May 13th, to Clayton and Laura Pickle. Siblings James and Caroline are over-the-moon about their new little sister; and proud grandparents Carl and Nora Bishop feel just the same!  Laura's friends have already started a meal sign-up for her; let's join in and fill it up to help Abigail's family as they adjust to being a family of five!  Click here to Take Them A Meal.
Next, meet Frances Ann DollarhideLittle Frances was born on Monday morning, May 15th, to John and Haley Dollarhide.  They are home now and everyone is doing fine.  Grace Evelyn is simply smitten, and is relishing her role as a big sister.  Haley's friends have already started a meal sign-up for her - we can help fill it up!  Haley will have her hands full for a while with two under two, so this will be a welcomed gesture!  Click here to Take Them A Meal.
As a Parkway Hills family, we all praise God for the blessing of new life!
Not Much Time Left!
This month we are collecting items to share with the guests of Grace PlaceWe'll help serve breakfast and deliver filled bags early Wednesday morning, May 31st. Can you join us?  Contact Juliet Huam and let her know!
We still need travel-sized toothpaste, hand sanitizer, dental floss, washcloths, bottled water and nutritious snacks. NEW THIS YEAR: we are adding insect repellent to our summer delivery.  (Grace Place recommends boxes of Deep Woods OFF! Towelettes; they are easy to divide and will go a long way.)  If you don't have time to shop, leave a donation and we'll be glad to shop for you. Thank you!
We are celebrating our beautiful new chairs and all they represent with a "second mile" stewardship campaign:  Pull up a Chair!  This week, we 'pull up a chair' for OUR CONNECTION. (Thanks for your words last Sunday, Bert Felder!)
We love being United Methodist, and we believe in other United Methodist churches. We've given away our chairs that were still in good condition to Blessed Trinity UMC in West Jackson and to St Paul UMC in Clinton to help them "Pull up a Chair" in their own congregations. It is a powerful and wonderful thing to discover how connected we all are by people and places, past and present. Replenishing our budget positions us to continue to make new connections, and to follow God's lead into new opportunities, mission and ministry.  Consider an over-and-above-your-pledge gift of $60 to represent pulling up a chair for a visitor, $240 to welcome a family, or maybe $720 to make a connection with an entire row of people God will put in our midst!
Next week, we 'Pull up a chair' for The Flowers Family!
May's Yarn Ministry Meeting is this Saturday, May 20th. We meet at the Weissenborn's home from 9:00 am to noon.
