Meet our New Members!
Please help us welcome Ryan and Lorrie Smith, along with two of their three children, Conor and Carson.  (Their oldest son, Kaden, is in Hattiesburg pursuing an International Studies degree at USM.)  Ryan, a native Mississippian,
enjoys meeting people and visiting interesting places through his job as the Central Region Director of Sales with Westell Technologies.  Lorrie, a native Californian, started out in banking, then switched to secretarial administration to be involved in her sons' school system. Now, her interests have led her to Barber School and she hopes to soon be working in a salon.  (And yes, there is a great story about how this Mississippi boy and California girl got together - it involves Spring Break and a mutual friend's wedding!)  In August, Conor begins his college career at Holmes.  He plans to dive into science classes, (chem, bio-chem and biology), as he considers a career in the medical field.  Carson, an eighth grader at Madison Middle, will be playing football for the Jags, but his first love is soccer.  The family does a lot of traveling to follow his schedule with the Rush Select Team. (Full disclosure: Carson has been a Parkway Hills member since February; he was part of the amazing Confirmation Class of 2016!)    They are already in our instant church directory - so please look them up, send them a note of welcome, and help them find their own ways to use their gifts to Welcome, Grow, Serve and Celebrate with us here at PHUMC!
Youth: including our rising 7th graders!
Join us this Sunday evening for a pool party at the Kisers! Click here for directions. Be sure to wear a swim suit... and a Christmas hat!  Bring your towel, and a Christmas-themed sweet or salty snack to share. The Kisers will supply the holly-jolly hot dogs. Don't forget a small gift for the the Dirty Santa Swap - $10 maximum. Most importantly: be ready to play some reindeer games!  Any questions?  Contact Tatia: 601-262-8397
Attention Men of all ages: Every Thursday morning at 7:15 am, the men of Parkway Hills gather at Panera Bread in Renaissance.  They are really enjoying the camaraderie, everyone learns from the discussions, and all are benefiting from the encouragement and accountability this group provides. Why not join them? Stop by tomorrow morning - or any Thursday morning - to have breakfast and fellowship before facing your day.  Thursday may become your new favorite day of the week!
PHUMC's Bunk Bed Ministry has been featured in INSPIRATION Mississippi, a magazine and online blog that celebrates the hospitality and faith at the root of all inspiration in Mississippi!

What was more touching on Sunday, the "Old Turtle" story during children's moments? Or watching the children enjoy the "Old Turtle" story??
