The CATCH My Breath Youth Advisory Board is passionate about the health and well-being of their generation to live a life free from the harms of vaping. They work closely with our CATCH My Breath team, meeting monthly to review and recommend program improvements, to ensure the program evolves to meet the current and unique needs of students. In addition to their dedicated board service, these teen leaders from across the United States are actively engaged with their schools and local organizations to make a greater impact. Take a look at the initiatives our board members have led in their communities this school year!

An evidence-based practice improvement project implemented CATCH My Breath in a wellness class at a high school in Middle Tennessee to reduce e-cigarette use among students. The program, delivered through four lessons over two days, effectively increased students’ awareness of the harmful effects of e-cigarettes, reducing reported use by 33.7% and improving perceptions of e-cigarette harm. The success of the program and Dr. Steven Kelder’s e-cigarette research have led to recommendations for its continued use and expansion across all wellness classes.
