| One Master Association Board Seat Open for Election in 2016Please give some thought to serving your community by becoming a member of the Ken-Caryl Ranch Master Association Board of Directors, the decision-making, policy-setting leaders of this community. There is one seat on the MA Board that will be on the ballot for the Board of Directors election in March 2016. The MA Board meets in the evening on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Board members are expected to attend other meetings on an as-needed basis. The affairs of the Master Association are managed by the five-member Board along with a professional staff. Serving three-year staggered terms, a portion of the Board is elected each year. For those of you who are interested in running for an MA Board position, download a Board Application or pick one up at the Ranch House. Applications are due by Jan. 29.

| Christmas Tree Sale Dec. 5
The annual Christmas Tree Sale will be held at the Dakota Lodge on Saturday, Dec. 5 from 8-10 a.m. A limited number of trees cut from forest management areas will be available to the public on a first come, first served basis. Rangers are requesting donations in exchange for the trees, and the donations will be used to offset expenses in the open space program. Mainly Douglas Firs and some Ponderosa Pines were cut two weeks before the sale, so they will be very fresh and fragrant for the sale.

How to Sign Up for Optional Trash and Recycling TotesBased on feedback from the Trash and Recycling Service Survey in October, residents will have the option of continuing to use their own trash and recycling containers (either trash cans or bags) or of using 96-gallon totes provided at no charge by Waste Connections. The totes have wheels and are 42 inches tall, the top measures 30×34 inches, and the bottom is 24×24 inches. Trash and recycling service will be weekly as it is now. If you prefer to use the 96-gallon totes, send an email to kencarylco@wasteconnections.com or call the Ranch House at 303-979-1876. In the email or phone message, say that you want to sign up for totes and provide your name, address, email address and phone number. You can request both trash and recycling totes, just a trash tote, or just a recycling tote. Waste Connections will deliver totes to your home for a January start date. If you want to continue using your own containers, you do not need to do anything.

| Trash Service Schedule this Week
This is a reminder from the Ken-Caryl Ranch trash service provider, Waste Connections, that Thanksgiving Day is an observed holiday. If your trash day is normally on Thursday, instead it will be picked up the Friday after Thanksgiving. If your regular trash day is Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday, your service is not affected. Waste Connections offers an auto-dial service to notify customers of any delays or changes in trash pickup days. If you are interested in being notified through this service, you can sign up online at www.wcdenver.com/contact/. Complete the required information, click on Residential Trash Service, then in the comment section at the bottom of the page explain that you are a Ken-Caryl resident seeking to sign up for the Call Fire service.
