PORTLAND EVENTS

  • Learn about the inside view of blockchain, bitcoin, and the token economy with Stephen McKeon at Blockchain Boot Camp on Saturday, Feb. 19 at 9:00 a.m.
  • Hear from a panel of HR professionals for a discussion about getting noticed at Managing Your Career in the Sport Product Industry on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 6:00 p.m.
IMPORTANT PORTLAND INFO
  • Beginning in January, the Duck Store will have new hours: Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. and Saturday–Sunday 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
  • TriMet passes for Winter Term are available in suite 320 at a discounted rate. If you qualify for the Reduced Fare Program, stop by room 150 on Jan. 14 from 8:00–5:00 p.m. with the approved documents to complete your application.
  • Apply for the Jesse M. Bell Graduate Loan and Fund and the Graduate Student Assistance Fund.
  • As a reminder, bikes are allowed to be brought in and out of the Couch Street entrance after
    6:00 p.m. During regular building hours, bikes are still required to be brought in under the
    Burnside Bridge.
  • Learn about events and opportunities by joining UO Portland, a student-run Facebook page.
  • Need health services? Head to PSU SHAC for checkups, testing, and dental services.
  • The UO Portland Library has equipment available for 24-hour loan and rooms to reserve for group or individual study.
  • Consider volunteering with Lift Urban Portland, an organization aiming to reduce hunger in the city by operating a shopping-style food pantry among other great services. Contact Brett Williams for more information.
PORTLAND TALKS AND LECTURES
  • Join AMA to hear marketing professionals discuss the Role of Ethics in Marketing on Jan. 17 at 6:00 p.m. Topics will include copyright issues, branding, the "fake news" movement, and understanding what information is reliable.
