Science Across America, the latest campaign from HHMI Tangled Bank Studios and STAR Net's Spark of Science @ My Library initiative, celebrates 250 years of American scientific achievement by spotlighting local discoveries that have improved health, boosted productivity, and deepened our understanding of the natural world.

Celebrate the science happening in your community with free Science Across America resources. When you sign up you’ll receive:

|
|
| | Stickers to mark the type of science happening in your community
|
|
| |
Cutouts of guiding questions and images to decorate your map with, and encourage your patrons to think about the science that matters to them

A set of Science Across America sticky notes

|
Science Across America gives libraries free, high-quality resources to celebrate the science happening in their communities. Resources include discussion guides and training for community dialogues about science, plus downloadable hands-on activities that shine a light on the past, present and future of science in our lives.
Libraries are also invited to add their community's scientific achievements to the Science Across America digital map — a nationwide, community-built interactive map spotlighting the scientific discoveries and breakthroughs happening across the country.

The STAR Library Network (STAR Net) is a hands-on learning network for libraries and their communities across the country. STAR Net focuses on helping library professionals build their STEM skills by providing “science-technology activities and resources” (STAR) and training to use those resources.
STAR Net is built upon a strong network of collaborators and partners, led by the Space Science Institute’s (SSI) Education and Learning Research team.
Funding is provided by the National Science Foundation, the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, NASA Office of STEM Engagement, and the NASA Science Mission Directorate.
