| An essential aspect of the National Health Care for the Homeless Council’s mission is empowerment. People experiencing homelessness have been disempowered in many ways, including at the ballot box. In our roles as service providers and advocates, it is not only legal but encouraged for health centers and nonprofits to register historically disenfranchised groups to vote!
