"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ" Eph 1:3
Dear Friends:
Happy New Year to you all! 2015 was indeed a wonderful year in which God richly blessed Young Life through the many volunteers who spend time with students to all of you who donate your resources so that we can do what we do to reach every kid in Dorchester County! We are grateful for each and every one of you!!!
2016 promises to be an exciting year as we anticipate partnering with more of you throughout the county to bring Young Life or Wyldlife to all schools! After training a group of volunteers, we anticipate having our first Club at North Dorchester in February. We are also hoping to start up again at Maces Lane with new interest from teachers and staff there! Please pray with us for committed volunteers at each location.
With 2016 came the aquisition of Tudor Farms to Young Life National ... to be transformed into a Young Life Camp! YL Dorchester is excited for the influx of new people as they come to work at the camp! And we want to welcome them into our community!
However, as a result, there are people who are in need of finding a home here! If you or anyone you know may know of any homes for sale, homes for rent ... or if you would be willing to host one or more of these staff people while they search for a home, please let us know. The demographics range from single people, to couples with and without children. As Young Life Camp Staff their incomes are limited so any assistance in finding them affordable housing would be appreciated. Please email yldorchester@gmail.com if you know of any housing or if you are willing to be a host for a short time. Thank you again for partnering with Young Life here in Dorchester County! Our Young Life leaders log many hours with kids — where they are, as they are. We listen to their stories and learn what's important to them because we genuinely care about their joys, triumphs, heartaches and setbacks. Kids' lives are dramatically influenced when caring adults come alongside them, sharing God's love with them. Because their Young Life leader believes in them, they begin to see that their lives have great worth, meaning and purpose.
This is the first step of a lifelong journey; the choices they make today, based upon God's love for them, will have an impact on future decisions — careers chosen, marriages formed and families raised — all ripples from the time when a Young Life leader took time to reach out and enter their world.
