What was the process like of opening a location in Arvada?
Charlie: We looked to see where our customers lived and moved toward them. Data told us that that crowd was getting married and having kids; people live in the suburbs and don’t want to move downtown. People needed a coworking space in those areas.
Why did you decide to be a member of the Arvada Chamber?
Chris: Not every chamber is created equal. It came down to the reputation of the Arvada Chamber when we got enrolled. The Chamber really does seem to have a real heart with the city and connections with the city. We've partnered on a couple of events and I feel like we can serve the Chamber and the Chamber can serve us.
What has been your secret to success in Arvada?
Chad: We do a lot of work with leadership and make sure everyone’s empowered. As we continuously improve, we want to make sure our employees can hone the right skillsets to flourish. We’re flexible: not only are our memberships flexible, but we can literally take down an office in a day. And we prioritize community involvement. We design 80 percent of the building and have the community help design 20 percent of the rest. We pull people in and ask “If you were the owners, what would you do with this space?” That gives us ideas we’ve never thought of. Every community is different and we have to learn how that community runs and what it needs to be supported.
