Thinking of Getting Involved on Campus? These Clubs Are Interested in Meeting You.

At KU Undergraduate Moot Court, members create oral arguments and briefs to simulate the proceedings of appellate courts and get the change to present them in front of lawyers, judges, and other legal professionals. Join to enhance oral advocacy, hone critical thinking skills, and gain understanding of constitutional law. All are welcome to join us.

An informational meeting will be held on Tuesday, February 4, at 6 PM in Green Hall.

Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) is the leading co-ed professional law fraternity in the U.S. Our chapter meetings offer valuable resources, including insights on law school admissions, panel discussions with legal professionals, LSAT preparation, resume building workshops, and much more! We’re KU’s exclusive pre-law fraternity, offering comprehensive pre-law resources. Anyone is welcome to join and attend our meetings anytime!

The free panel will be held on Wednesday, February 19, at 6 PM in Green Hall Room 104. All students interested or exploring law school are invited to attend. No registration is required.

Update on Drop-In Advising Hours: Starting February 2025

Starting in February 2025, Jayhawk Academic Advising will adjust its drop-in advising hours to Mondays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 4:00 PM. This change is based on student usage patterns of drop-in services and will apply to all Jayhawk Academic Advising programs, including:

Spring KU LSAT Prep Course

Tuesdays and Thursdays from March 25 through April 24, 2025, at 5:30 PM / Green Hall

The KU College of Liberal Arts & Sciences is offering a spring LSAT preparation course open to all students. LSAC requires every participant in an authorized, full-length LSAT preparation class to have a subscription to LawHub Advantage. This course will be held in person on the KU campus at the KU School of Law.

KU students qualify for a $100 discount using the code KULAW2025. Students in the LEAD Program qualify for a discounted rate and may contact Chally Lytle for more information.

LSAC Law School Forum

Each year, LSAC Law School Forums serve as invaluable opportunities for aspiring law students to learn about law school and connect with law school representatives. By attending an LSAC Law School Forum — whether in-person or online — you’ll be able to connect directly with law school representatives from across North America, learn about financial aid and the law school admission process, and get answers to any questions you may have.

January Pre-Law Tip: It's never too early think about character and fitness requirements. What is character and fitness? Every jurisdiction sets standards for the professional practice of law. These requirements describe the personal conduct required to be an attorney, and law schools will often inquire about your eligibility to meet character and fitness requirements.
