Student Organization Teambuilding Workshop |
KU Recreation Services collaborated with Student Conduct and Community Standards to provide a teambuilding workshop for 37 members of Theta Chi Fraternity on April 22nd. Campus departments and student organizations can learn about hosting their own teambuilding workshops through the Outdoor Pursuits website.

Center for Sexuality and Gender Diversity (SGD) |
Engaged 64 participants at the annual Be You at KU, an increase of 16.4% from April 2023.1

Housing and Residence Life (HRL) |
Surveyed residents to find most agreed (91.5%) they gained a better understanding of how their behaviors affect others.5
|
| Sexual Assault Prevention and Education Center (SAPEC) |
Hosted 1,700 participants across four Sexual Assault Awareness Month programs, an increase of 84.0% from April 2023.9
|

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) |
Provided 1,356 appointments to 719 students, increases of 26.4% and 28.4%, respectively, from April 2023.2

| KU Recreation Services (Rec.) |
Registered 335 participants for the Second Annual Movin’ with the Rec 5K, an increase of 105.5% from April 2023.6
|
| Sorority and Fraternity Life (SFL) |
Raised $2,880 for the Ballard Center through the IFC’s Chapters for Charity event, an increase of 25.2% from April 2023.10

Emily Taylor Center for Women and Gender Equity (ETC) |
Hosted 40 attendees for the inaugural FAME Student Recognition Awards, the department’s first in-person awards ceremony since 2019.

Legal Services for Students (LSS) |
Notarized 82 study abroad applications, an increase of 67.3% from April 2023.7

| Student Conduct and Community Standards (SSCS) |
Engaged 152 students in educational programming on risk management, hazing prevention, and freedom of expression.

Health Education Resource Office (HERO) |
Administered 19 free HIV tests, an increase of 72.7% from the initial program pilot.3

Hosted 41 graduate students at the Graduate Student of Color Brunch, surpassing the target attendance goal by 36.7%.8

| Student Support and Case Management (SSCM) |
Received 121 student referrals, a decrease of 9.0% from April 2023.11

Hilltop Child Development Center (Hilltop) |
Welcomed 63 attendees to the second annual Lawrence Child Development Conference, an increase of 31.2% from April 2023.4

| | Watkins Health Services (WHS) |
Administered 285 influenza (A and B), RSV, COVID-19, and RSV tests; and 286 strep tests, increases of 52.4% and 40.2%, respectively, from April 2023.12

Tammara Durham received the 2024 Outstanding University Partner Service Award from the KU School of Business (VPSA).
Nikita Haynie was awarded Outstanding Student Organization Advisor for the 2024 Rock Chalk Recognition Awards (ETC/SGD).
Steven Johnson, Jr. received the 2024 Innovation and Impact Award from the KU School of Business (SFL/SILC).
Jordan Brandt (OMA), Nikita Haynie (ETC/SGD), and Dr. Danielle Binion (KUMC) presented at the Women of Color Leadership Conference at the University of Missouri, Kansas City.
Sigma Phi Epsilon (IFC), Kappa Delta Chi Sorority, Inc. (MGC), Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. (NPHC), and Gamma Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. (PHA) were recognized as Chapters of the Year at this year’s Sorority and Fraternity Awards (SFL).
