| Library District Formation Autumn Update
The Boulder Public Library is working toward district formation this fall.
In addition to progress on district formation, the Boulder Public Library District Board of Trustees recognizes the importance of Banned Books Week, Oct. 1 - 7. This week honors a national effort to celebrate the freedom to read and those organizations – like libraries – that support that right. For the trustees, the freedom to read is personal, and the public library’s role is pivotal.
“Public library collections offer us so many opportunities to expand and grow. I've learned so much that I didn't know I needed to know by picking up books from library shelves - they've allowed me to live vicariously in other worlds and other people's lives,” said Board of Trustees President Joni Teter.
