Helping Pilots Prevent Weekly Content to Help Guide UP's COVID-19 Response

In an effort to keep our campus community safe and healthy, students are encouraged to refrain from travel during the upcoming Easter break. While we know it's a hardship for many to not be with their families over the holiday, the student affairs staff is working hard to plan activities and services to celebrate Easter on campus with great hope and joy.
COmmencement Weekend Will feature in-person Pre-Commencement Recognition Event
In-person Pre-Commencement Recognition Events will take place outdoors on Friday, May 7, giving graduating students an opportunity to don regalia, hear their name read aloud, and take socially distanced photographs with the President and their academic dean. No guests will be allowed due to state and county restrictions, but the event will be streamed. The official virtual Commencement ceremony will stream at 1 p.m., on Sunday, May 9.
Live Stream and In-Person Events During Holy Week
Campus Ministry is bringing people together for Holy Week through live streaming events and on-campus services for students and members of the UP community who want to worship in person.
Outdoor Sports competitions open to limited fan attendance
The latest Oregon Health Authority approvals allow fans to attend outdoor UP sports games at 25 percent capacity. Athletics is working on a process to help fans secure tickets.
The Pilots Prevent Dashboard tracks all COVID-19 tests conducted on campus. For the week ending March 21, University of Portland conducted 971 tests. There is currently 1 new positive case with 3 on-campus students in quarantine and 1 on-campus student in isolation. See the full dashboard.
