2024 President’s Community Leaders Breakfast

University President Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C., hosted his first Community Leaders Breakfast on Thursday, June 27.The breakfast, an annual tradition, provided more than 250 community leaders with the opportunity to get to know Father Dowd, who started in his role on June 1, and to connect with partners.

Spanish immersion teachers travel to DC for a firsthand look into American history and government

Fifteen teachers, who are almost all immigrants to the U.S. themselves, were in D.C. to learn more about American history and government, with support from Notre Dame’s English as a New Language program through the Alliance for Catholic Education.

Eve Kelly named executive director for institutional transformation and staff belonging

Effective July 1, Eve Kelly, associate director for strategic initiatives in the Office of Institutional Transformation (OOIT), will take on new and expanded responsibilities to further connect the work of OOIT with Notre Dame Human Resources. Read more about this new positon

Strategic Framework Grant recipients announced

Notre Dame has announced the awardees of its inaugural Strategic Framework Grant (SFG) Program. Launched in February of 2024, the SFG Program is an internal funding opportunity that stimulates engagement with the priorities outlined in Notre Dame 2033: A Strategic Framework.

Faculty chair wins 2024 International Frontiers Prize for innovative public health and sustainability research

Jason Rohr, the Ludmilla F., Stephen J. and Robert T. Galla Professor and Chair of the Department of Biological Sciences is one of three international winners of the 2024 Frontiers Planet Prize for his research that helps improve public health, agriculture, sustainability and poverty in Senegal.

Notre Dame to welcome National Eucharistic Pilgrimage to campus, premiere new musical

Notre Dame will serve as a host site for Catholic pilgrims on Friday, July 5, as they journey to Indianapolis for the National Eucharistic Congress on July 17-21. Inspired by their visit, several public events are planned for July 5 and 6, including the world premiere of a musical.

ECDC kindergartners create replica of Hesburgh Library

Come see a replica of Hesburgh Library — complete with books, visitors, exhibits from Rare Books & Special Collections and Notre Dame Archives, hanging lights, and even a reflection in the reflecting pool. It was created by kindergarten students at Notre Dame’s Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC).
