Welcome new CASL dean
UM-Dearborn Associate Provost and CASL alumnus Martin Hershock ('85 B.A.) has been named Dean of the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters. His five-year appointment will begin on July 1. In addition to his administrative position, Hershock will continue to hold a professorship in history, with tenure. Click here to read about his appointment.

CASL Commencement Highlights

CASL students Amanda Bower, Mary Fastiggi and Cory Page were honored as Chancellor's Medallion recipients at the April 28 commencement. The Chancellor's Medallion is UM-Dearborn's most prestigious academic honor bestowed on students. Click here to read about their accomplishments.

CASL alumna Christy Baas ('01 B.A.) also delivered the alumni address. Themes of commitment and community echoed through the Fieldhouse as Baas and others challenged graduates to pursue their passions. Click for more highlights and pictures from the ceremony.

Sargon Partners' Undergraduate Research Showcase

On March 22, the College of Arts, Sciences, and Letters hosted the Sargon Partners' Undergraduate Research Showcase. This event gave CASL students the opportunity to publicly demonstrate their scholarly projects and receive campus-wide recognition for their research work. Congratulations to CASL faculty receiving promotions and tenure

Worldviews Seminar: June 17-22
